Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV) is an annual tax levied on vehicle owners in Turkey. The amount depends on the vehicle's age, engine displacement (cc), and type (car, truck, motorcycle, etc.).
Our calculator uses the 2026 official tax tables to determine your annual MTV obligation, payable in two installments (January and July).
MTV Rate Factors
MTV rates are based on engine displacement brackets and the vehicle's age. Newer vehicles with larger engines pay significantly more. Electric vehicles have separate, lower rate tables.
Payment Schedule
MTV is paid in two equal installments: the first in January, the second in July. Late payments incur interest charges and may result in a travel ban.
